Karaoke City

Good K-town karaoke den. There's a main bar to meet up at and hang at afterwards, but the main attraction is individual karaoke rooms that you rent by the hour. Their system takes a little to get used to but works fine. No ability to adjust their sound - only volume up and down. They have bar food that's average - that's not what you come for. There's a buzzer you hit and a waiter will come take drink or food orders. Service is quick - strangely no napkins or paper towels. Also no bathroom toilet paper - maybe their delivery was late. Also strange that there are no coat hooks so on a cold, wet night all of coats seemed to be in the way in the tight, private room for 6 where we had 5.

There are plenty of private rooms for parties. For after work gatherings it’s pretty perfect because it doesn’t fill up until much later in the evening. The song book is also pretty solid for English language music. Service was great for the two hours we were there. Our guy was attentive with food and drinks. The rooms are pretty dark though, painted in a dark grey.

Extremely rude staff. We had a reservation for 8-10 PM. They brought us to a room at 8:10, and tried kicking us out at 10. That's not how math works. If we paid for 2 hours, I expect to have the room for 2 hours. The guy also kept coming in every 10 minutes during the last half hour to tell us that time is almost up. I was also told that we could bring our own drinks, only to have this guy come in and confiscate them from us. There's too many other karaoke places in the area to deal with such nastiness.

Went here for a birthday celebration.. singing was fun but the song choices were outdated. Once we entered we noticed how the front desk was completely unattended. Didn’t think much of it until we saw a bunch of cards to the side which I found to be extremely risky. Leaving a card with the host was mandatory and seeing how easily they left the cards unattended was off putting... not to mention that the guy at the front was extremely rude to us. There was so much attitude given to us when the rules were not explicitly explained to us. We were put into a room given a paper and then left. We were never let know when our time was up..so have to keep track, it seems like they might have some ploy to keep squeezing money out of you. Gave the guy a 5 dollar tip out of courtesy even tho all he do was enter, be rude and leave. Overall 1/5. I generally believe that the only reason why this place has such a high rating is because of the fun you have with the people you bring not because of the service or place. Would not go back. Edit: We did not buy food, so we don’t know anything regarding food quality.

Service was kinda weird. Front staff and wait staff had poor communication and confused our reservation which was annoying but frankly a minimal issue. You have to have everyone participate in the drink packages which sucks but makes sense. Drink prices were unclear, one soju bottle was 18, a different flavor was 36. Price structure was just odd and waiter said it wasn’t a pitcher. Karaoke was fun, pretty up to date song selection and very easy to search/queue up on your phone. Wide room with plenty of seating and table space. Def the spot to got for karaoke.

On few floors above Jongro BBQ lies this karaoke bar in Ktown. It's really not bad, but the prices are a bit steep, and when we asked them what flavor sojus they had they mentioned "lychee" (which for people who know, there is no popular brand with a lychee flavor of soju), so of course we ordered it. What they didn't mention was the crazy surcharge for the drink that was basically a cocktail put in a deceivingly large carafe. Doubly deceiving because the outside of the carafe made it look like it was full of liquid, even if the carafe was empty. A $35 of mixed soju drink emptied out into 4 half-full small plastic cups. Oof! We should have asked about the price and the quantity, but we assumed it was like the other soju flavors they listed. Either way, we felt played and kind of sad!

Dancing place late night hanging out! If you want to just get drunk or you are already drunk and want to dance, I recommend this place. Only seat at the bar and most ppl just grab the drink and hopping around. I saw someone had a nice birthday party at this place. Even it is a small bar but if you just want to drink and dance this place is cool to hang out with.
